Where USC Ranks Among Committed On300 Players
USC may have the No. 17 ranked recruiting class per the On3 Industry Rankings, but the Trojans rank No. 10 with the most committed On300 Prospects with 10. Georgia has a staggering 18, Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M 14, Ohio St. 12 and Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Penn St. have 11.
If the Trojans were to gain a commitment from Jaylen Harvey, USC would go from 10th to ties for sixth. Although USC’s not expected to gain a large number of commitments between now and December, Lincoln Riley and staff still have an opportunity to add multiple prospects for the class of 2024.
Harvey will be announcing his school choice after he visits Penn St. next week when the Nittany Lions face Illinois at Beaver Stadium. Right now we like where USC stands with him, but Penn St. also feels like they still have a good shot, too.
We should add, USC added nine On300 players to the roster in 2023, despite adding 10 signees. Tight End Walker Lyons won’t join the team until early next year.

Current 2024 Recruiting Class for USC
As of September 18, the 2024 USC verbal commits include, TE Walter Matthews, WR Ryan Pellum, OLB Elijah Newby, WR Xavier Jordan, EDGE Kameryn Fountain, TE Joey Olsen, Safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr., OL Makai Saina, Safety Marquis Gallegos, RB Bryan Jackson, OT Hayden Treter, CB Marcelles Williams, CB Braylon Conley, DLDeyvid Palepale and OL Jason Zandamela.
In mid June, there were more than 20 prospects favoring the Trojans in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. A good portion of them visited USC in the spring and/or and scheduled official visit. At one point USC was set to host 35 official visitors in May and June, but 30 actually took the visits.
USC finished the 2023 class ranked inside the top-10 and Lincoln Riley and staff have started off on the right foot with an opportunity to repeat that feat in the 2024 class.
