Florida State Seminoles quarterback Tate Rodemaker has told the coaching staff that he intends to enter the transfer portal. The news was first reported Monday by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, and it was confirmed to Warchant by a source close to the family.

Tate Rodemaker replaced starter Jordan Travis following his injury, leading the Seminoles in a win over the Florida Gators. However, he suffered a concussion in that game that forced him to miss the ACC Championship Game.

With the Seminoles, Tate Rodemaker played in 23 games over four seasons dating back to the 2020 season. He has a completion percentage of 57.6 percent for 901 yards and seven touchdowns. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

Tate Rodemaker played high school football at Valdosta (GA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 684 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

A large part of Rodemaker’s reported decision to enter the transfer portal has been Florida State recruiting quarterbacks out of the transfer portal.
