Utah Utes defensive back JaTravis Broughton has committed to transfer to the TCU Horned Frogs. He announced the move on social media.

Broughton has been with Utah since the 2019 season and has made his impact felt throughout his time with the Utes. That included playing every game as a freshman during the 2019 season, primarily in a special teams role. Then, in the 2020 season, he earned honors as a Pac-12 honorable mention. A season-ending injury in 2021 cost him most of the season before he returned to the lineup.

In total, Broughton has played in 47 games with 29 starts at Utah. He has 126 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, a sack, 10 passes defended, and an interception on his career.

“One last ride… TCU BABY,” Broughton posted for his commitment to TCU.

JaTravis Broughton played high school football at Union (OK), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 835 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
