WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Perhaps Miami is finally starting to enter a cycle where the team won’t be taking double-digit transfers … we analyze why. So be sure to check that analysis out.

In recruiting we have more news for you today.

We catch up with Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School 2025 ATH Herbert Scroggins. He’s had a busy spring, adding offers from schools like Miami, Texas A&M, USC and Auburn plus taking numerous spring visits. Now, with five official visits set including Miami, he’s beginning to get an idea where things stand.

Miami Hurricanes senior analyst Edwin Pata made his way up to South Garner High School in North Carolina, and 2026 4-star offensive lineman Ekene Ogboko came away with an offer. Find out where things stand with him now.

Miami’s also joined the race for Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s 2026 three-star defensive lineman Alex Haskell. Find out what’s going on there.

The Canes also offered Bowdon (Ga.) four-star tight end Kaiden Prothro, who weighs in with his thoughts.

Plus there’s the recap of the baseball team’s struggles continuing, this time with a loss to FIU.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

This Miami team will be Hell to beat at Home or Away … Posted by TWO40

You won’t be able to just come after this Cam Ward kid from the tape I saw nor will you be able to just rush 3 or 4 with the power run game with this big O LINE..Florida right now dont have a clue on how to really prepare for an offense like this. The defense in its 2nd year will put these kids in position to just run after the football and not think. Can’t wait….

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“(My) O-line coach said, ‘Coach Taylor wanted me to offer you,’ and I was kind of shocked because growing up Miami was like the big deal with the guys like Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Sean Taylor going there,” Haskell said. “All my family talked about them so it was definitely a cool moment.”
