Top 100 recruit Andrew Marsh schedules official visit to Kentucky
Kentucky doesn’t typically have success recruiting Texas-based prospects such as Andrew Marsh, but new wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts isn’t your typical recruiter.
According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Marsh, a four-star pass-catcher ranked No. 55 overall in the 2025 class by the On3 Industry Ranking, has scheduled an official visit with the Wildcats. The Texas native will come to Lexington for a mid-week visit that begins on Tuesday, June 18.
Along with Kentucky, Marsh has also locked in official visits with Penn State (May 31), Southern California (June 7), Texas (June 14), and Oklahoma (June 14). Michigan will receive an unofficial visit on June 4 with a possible official coming during the 2024 season.
A decision is not expected until the fall at the earliest, says Wiltfong.
Marsh visited Kentucky once already in January for Junior Day. He was expected back in Lexington during the spring but had to reschedule. That second trip ultimately turned into an official. Marsh’s growing relationship with 29-year-old Coach Shorts (who recently coached at Houston and is familiar with the Lone Star State) has played a significant role in his interest in Kentucky.
While it should still be considered a longshot to land Marsh, he’s the caliber of player that previously wouldn’t have truly considered the Wildcats. But anything can happen once he arrives on campus for an official visit and listens to Shorts’ pitch.
