Elite 2025 OT Solomon Thomas to visit trio of schools next weekend

Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines 2025 offensive tackle Solomon Thomas is still another year away from the peak of his recruitment, but nonetheless is busy visiting programs around the country.
Thomas, a four-star prospect ranked No. 31 nationally, is set to visit three schools next weekend.
He will see South Carolina on Friday, July 28 before visiting Miami on Saturday the 29th and Florida on Sunday the 30th.
Thomas continues to build relationships
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Thomas has already been to Gainesville multiple times. Gators head coach Billy Napier has taken charge of building a relationship with Thomas — connecting with him even more than his assistant coaches.
“Actually, which is super surprising, I’ve been talking to coach Napier a lot more than I’ve been talking to the offensive line coaches,” Thomas told GatorsOnline in June. “I like him a lot; my mom likes him a lot.”

As for Miami, the Hurricanes have been working hard to get this visit from Thomas on the schedule.
“There’s a lot of Miami coaches that are reaching out to my high schools — not even my OL coach, but my receivers coach, my RB coaches — and they’ll pull me aside to tell me that Miami keeps hitting me up to try and get you down there,” Thomas told On3. “They’re joking, telling me it’s getting on their nerves and that Miami called more than their wives do, but it shows that I’m a priority to them. Over the last two years, I feel like I’m a priority for them.”
Over in South Carolina, Gamecocks offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley has been key in Thomas’ recruitment. Teasley is entering his first full season as offensive line coach after filling in for Greg Adkins last year while Adkins missed time due to his health.
“He’s been hitting me up a lot,” Thomas said of Teasley, as well as others in Columbia. “They’re checking up on me and checking on my hand, trying to get to know me more as a player but more so as a person, because of course you need that good connection among O-linemen.”
