Jackson’s squad will have to go through the Wake Forest Demon Deacons if they’re to seize a spot in the College World Series. Instead of being intimidated, Alabama is simply looking at facing the top team in the nation as a fantastic opportunity to showcase their abilities.
“I think that it’s a great opportunity,” explained Jackson. “I think our guys have earned this opportunity, to get a chance to you know, go on the road and play the team that’s ranked No. 1 in the country.
“Said before, we’re really excited about it, so yeah.”
While it may be a tough challenge, Alabama can truly make a statement if they can not only play Wake Forest hard, but if they can beat them over the weekend.
It won’t be easy, and Jason Jackson recognizes that. However, if you’ve learned anything over the last few months, remember not to bet against Alabama, even if all the odds aren’t in their favor.
