So Ohtani knew his former interpreter since he was a teenager, and he never knew of his debts or gambling, yet Ohtani took his word to wire nine transactions of 500 g's each time to an unknown booking organization??? Do all the "Ohtani was obviously gambling but got the interpreter to take the fall" people still believe that this dude is willing to not just throw away his career, but also take an almost 5 year prison sentence (not to mention all of the restitution), to help out a friend?
