See the link below. From the article:

”Three days after he was hired at Michigan, Glenn "Shemy" Schembechler, son of longtime Wolverines coach Bo Schembechler, resigned following social media activity that has "caused concern and pain," according to a statement from the school.

"Effective this afternoon, Shemy Schembechler has resigned his position with Michigan Football," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a shared statement with coach Jim Harbaugh that was provided to ESPN on Saturday evening. "We are aware of some comments and likes on social media that have caused concern and pain for individuals in our community. Michigan Athletics is fully committed to a place where our coaches, staff and student-athletes feel welcome and where we fully support the University's and Athletic Department's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion."”

I guess it wasn’t just a misunderstanding.

This dipsh|t no longer has a Twitter account, but screen shots are out there if you search Google. This dipsh|t was posting and liking controversial crap for a while. How could um hire him? How could they not have known? Did um forego the usual background checks and hire him on name alone?
They knew. They all knew. But they turned a blind eye because football is valued more than basic human decency in the sports-obsessed town of Ann Arbor, MI.

Michigan and Jim Harbaugh should have never hired Schembechler's kid in the first place. Shemy's comments about Robert Anderson should have been an immediate disqualifier.

It would be like James Franklin going and deciding to hire Jay Paterno. Neither Jay nor Shemy deserves a job anywhere near college football again.

From my perspective, none of the tweets I saw appeared to be controversial. I’m not on twitter, but the images shown appeared to indicate that media personalities, Jason Whitlock and Dan Bongino (Psu grad), may have been involved in some of the tweeted communications in question. Also, it appears Schembechler may have even liked or retweeted a tweet from Jay Paterno concerning an inspirational quote from Nelson Mandela.

Looks like the adults at U of M weren’t in the room when Shemy was hired. They got involved later and this was a way out of a PR mess for the school.

Seriously, how does um continue to turn a blind eye to the schembechler name? It was fun when schembechler just meant annually underachieving on the field and getting smoked in bowl games. Now it’s serious, and um needs to own it.

I would normally award “likes” to good posts in this thread but am concerned that someone might take offense and report me to the on3 HR dept in an attempt to cancel me.

Didn’t the same son let it be known his Daddy ‘Bechler knew about sexual abuse and looked the other way?
And then the Big10 looked the other way just like it always does for scUM and Da O$U

"Shemy" Schembechler sounds like a fake name you give to the cops. Like when my buddy got busted peeing outside on the wall to his dorm (?) and told the cops his name was "Chad Chadwick".

But all kidding aside, what a S-show family that is. F all of those people; their entire family, along with all michigan fans.

I think you might want to take a step back. You might be taking college football too seriously

For Michigan's sake, I hope they are shamed into oblivion on the front page of every newspaper from coast to coast tomorrow morning.

If not, then the institutional rot has not yet hit rock bottom.

spOrtZ mean everything in Ann Arbor.

Don't get it. Early part of any background check should be examining the candidate's activity on social media.

I think you might want to stay off of our board, Todd. I know you would love to eat Jimmy's boogers but he keeps them all for himself. Maybe when he retires, he'll sell you some of his boogers like almonds at a truck stop.

”…Schembechler said in the statement, which was issued through a public relations firm based in Arizona.”

Shemy! Michigan Man!
I have Michigan at the very top of my "can't stomach" list. Yes, even above Pitt and OSU. The worst thing for other CF fans is for scUM to be winning titles as not only do they throw their athletics in your face, but they also hit you with the "Harvard of the Midwest" BS. By far the most arrogant a-holes out there

“On May 17, Schembechler tweeted: "I'm beyond honored to return home to @UMichFootball! #GoBlue always and forever!"

On May 20, the same day Schembechler's Twitter account was deactivated, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel and Harbaugh issued a shared statement announcing Schembechler's resignation.

It has been a tumultuous offseason for Michigan, which has incurred several off-field incidents since its appearance in the College Football Playoff. In January, the NCAA sent Michigan a notice of allegations against Harbaugh for allegedly misleading NCAA enforcement staff who were looking into possible violations during a COVID-19 recruiting dead period.

Later that month, Michigan announced it fired co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss, who remains under investigation by university police for "a report of computer access crimes" at the school's football facility.”

Heard some dufus making Sandusky cracks over Memorial Day weekend. I asked which school is his. He said USC.

I said George Tyndall says hi.

"Who's that," he asked?

"Oh he only molested over 1,000 Trojans of both sexes at USC resulting in a billion dollar settlement, but you do you."

The guy puts up a big stink and says I'm making it up but later surrenders and then concedes that he didn't even go to USC.

Partial list of settlements at schools:

Southern Cal: $1.1 billion. George Tyndall.
Michigan State: $500 million. Larry Nassar.
Michigan: $490 million. Bob Anderson.
Ohio State: $60 million. Larry Strauss.
