Really tough. How will he get by?

Wealth/Income envy is rather juvenile.

Don’t hate others for being better and/or making more

You chose to be a Chemist….embrace your decision, but don’t ill judge those who chose wiser. Shalom

That waterfront home in The Hamptons and Fifth Ave penthouse in Manhattan aren't cheap. The poor guy has major obligations.
When you have a job where you are responsible for hundreds of billions of dollars than you can make as much as him.

Yes, he does have major obligations.

Looking at his firm’s recent performance vs some competitors, his pay is likely in the ballpark of where it should be.

I was making a joke. The guy obviously deserves to be richly compensated in that role.

Something is wrong with us when people get paid like that to move money around and make others money, yet teachers get paid so modestly.

I had a SP 500 CEO tell me he needed $2-$3 mil a month to live

Not uncommon either for those who own several super high end homes with a combined mortgage balance north of 7 figures.

Nothing wrong…teachers don’t really have a skill set that few possess.
Plenty of people have very unique skill sets that few possess and don't paid like that. His skill just happens to be making wealthy people wealthier. Would be nice if compensation was more commensurate to the good that one brings to the world.

I’m sure the people he’s making money for think he’s bringing a lot of good to the world. I also know a lot of teachers who bring very little to the world. A unique skill set has to bring value to people to get paid like that.

He's also responsible for over 40 thousand employees who depend on their jobs for a living and a way to support their families. If he doesn't perform, he's out. Tenured teachers can be lousy and can never be fired. That's wrong too.

Apparently not the skill of driving earnings down 48% this year, resulting in 4000 layoffs.
So every teacher has 100% success rate with every student they teach every year? Bad years happen.
