The national federations in charge of the sports e.g. USA Basketball, USA Swimming, USATF. They all have their own sources of funds.

There is a massive difference in revenue between men and women. For example, men generated 6 billion in 2018, and women only 131 million in the 2018 World Cup. The men subsidize the women, and it is blatantly unfair.

The media supported women, and the men capitulated.
