As usual, um in the news for the wrong reasons.

See the link below. From the article:

”The University of Michigan has reached an agreement to settle a lawsuit brought by students who sought to force changes in how the school protects the campus from sexual misconduct.

As part of the deal, which was filed in federal court on Thursday, the Ann Arbor school will create and pay for a multidisciplinary standing committee designed to protect the university community from sexual abuse.

The Coordinated Community Response Team will have about 30 members, including Title IX and campus sexual misconduct experts, community members and select members of the administration and faculty.

"But I think most importantly, it has representation from students and survivors," said Nancy Cantalupo, an assistant professor of law at Wayne State University. "They will all have a seat at the table alongside the other experts that are on the CCRT.”

The article goes on to review the myriad other scandals at um.

Please take this opportunity to remember that Penn State has a culture problem.

I see that um has a basketball game tonight, which is obviously of no consequence in light of all of their disgusting scandals and cover-ups. Expect today‘s news and the other scandals and cover-ups to get a lot of coverage tonight.

I’ve been watching ESPN and the coverage of the NCAA Tournament all evening and I am so, so surprised that I haven’t seen any coverage of this settlement.

Shocking.

A court-side interview with howard pregame should go like this: “juwan, how do you and your team focus on tonight’s game when your thoughts and prayers understandably should be with the victims of the many scandals rocking your school and indicting everyone associated with it?”

Of course, howard would punch the interviewer.
