I agree exposure can be good, just not worth the cost for majority of people including many who often have to take those classes to graduate. I don't want ZERO artists, I just want MORE engineers in the U.S.Not everyone can be an engineer (or artist, or musician, or whatever). I think exposure to these things, even if not what one wants to do as a career, is good (broadening horizons and all). Want to know what an artistically bankrupt place filled with critical thinkers/engineers looks like? Visit Beijing.
