What's consensus on Freeman's results of constructing a staff compared to The Coach at The Pennsylvania University at Year 2? I vote Franklin with only the original offensive coordinator. the Army wide receiver coach and then our most recent ex-wide receiver coach as not meeting standard.

There was a story critical of ND on this (maybe the Atheletic?), not critical of Freeman or Gerard.

Freeman apparently had Utah OC as 1st choice, with him also bring OL coach. Despite interviewing him twice/on-site visits, the AD did not step up in buyout and salary. Author pointed out this likely a reason why Kelly left.

A $2mm or $3mm (I've read both numbers) for an assistant is ridiculous. You signed a contract containing that, you fu@king eat it.
