See the link below. From the article:

New York (CNN) — Starbucks doesn’t want to be America’s public bathroom anymore.

Starbucks is scrapping a policy that had let anyone hang out at its cafes or use the restrooms without making a purchase. The new rules are part of a larger effort to improve Starbucks’ cafe experience and deter homeless people and non-paying customers who have come to use Starbucks solely for shelter and bathroom access – but they reverse a policy that was put in place after one of the company’s biggest-ever PR disasters.

The new code of conduct, announced to stores Monday, is part of CEO Brian Niccol’s strategy to lure back customers, boost sagging sales and improve worker relations. It applies to all locations in North America and will be displayed on store doors.

The changes are a “practical step that helps us prioritize our paying customers who want to sit and enjoy our cafes or need to use the restroom during their visit,” said a Starbucks spokesperson in a statement. “By setting clear expectations for behavior and use of our spaces, we can create a better environment for everyone.”

Other changes include a ban on panhandling, discrimination, consuming outside alcohol and vaping, according to the policy posted online. Employees will receive training on the new policy.

Starbucks is also trying to incentivize customers to stay in its cafes instead of ordering to-go by giving perks for in-store orders. Beginning January 27, all customers can get one free hot or iced coffee refill served in its ceramic mugs or reusable glasses. Previously, the perk only applied to members of Starbucks’ loyalty program.”

I know of one near my former workplace that had to lock the bathroom doors because they had a couple of ODs there. On a major street with bus lines, so it made sense.
Well gilbert,
Below is the major focal point & bus stop of the "Lehman Mall" in the Metropolis of Lehman. I understand Penn DOT is working on a major rail service connecting Lehman w/NYC., win-win for everyone. The live bait is the white container next to the coke vending. The Lehman Police Dept. is hard on crime and keeps crime to a minimum. Whatever Cook has for display outside; watermelon, pumpkins, corn flowers, etc. stays outside after store closing, need a watermelon after hours-leave $4 under a rock on the display bleachers.

So it looks like we're back to pissing outside behind the bushes. Or maybe behind a dumpster in an alley. 🤷‍♂️

And the Lehman Mall motto…If we don’t have it, you don’t need it!

Jim, pretend for a moment that I don't know anything about metallurgy, engineering, or physics, and just tell me what the hell is going on.
A metric space is simply a set of points with a distance formula which satisfies certain stipulations. The real number line is a metric space, as the distance D from x to y is simply D=|x-y|. Everyone on this board who took an elementary algebra class knows about metric spaces, their instructors just used the term Real Numbers without mentioning that it’s a metric space. I sometimes use this sort of hifalutin language just for kicks. I can be a dick that way. In my defense, when I posted this I was at my doctor’s office waiting to get blood drawn.

In the metric space of real numbers, here is an example of a subset which is neither open nor closed: [0,1), meaning the set of the point 0 along with all real numbers which lie strictly between 0 and 1.

Damn I didn’t know that was a policy when I had 22 stores in New York. We kicked people out all the time. 🤣😱
I was ahead of my time perhaps.
