Funny how people here like him because he throws PSU a bone about once a year to keep the peace.
I like him because he’s a good announcer…then again, I’m not the type to be paranoid and think that every announcer hates us or has some agenda.
Seriously wonder why what anyone says on the air...especially if it doesn't reflect on PSU would bother anyone. These folks are paid to speak.

Herbstreit is the ultimate gasbag of college football. He needs a pot of fresh brewed STFU before every game he's involved with. Today's love affair is the "Jim Knowles defense". T'was not so long ago it was the "Don Brown" defense. Fortunately I had him muted for the time I was watching the Rose Bowl. In fact having ESPN do all the games is a mistake much like the seeding. A mix of broadcasters would be much better (IMO). Blackledge and his guy, Nessler and Danielson, and Gus and Joel would greatly improve my viewing experience
Nessler and Danielson are the only ones I listen to. They, for the most part, stick to calling the game with very little extra BS. I don't understand why all these announcers believe they have to explain everything I just watched and why things worked or didn't and what they should have done. I don't care that a player ties his shoes in double knots, or that he only will wear red cleats or that his mom's aunt's neighbor only wears her shirt on inside out when watching the game. So 90% of the time it is sound off. Sometimes I can find the game on the radio and I will listen to that. I cannot listen to Blackledge anymore because his new partner is a blowhard. I know may think Herbstreit and Fowler are the gold standard but I think they suck. Might even listen to Beth Mowens
