Most teams play open exhibitions against good teams. I know Duke, Arkansas, Memphis, Alabama, and some other big programs did. Not sure why we didnt take advantage of that.... well maybe not most but its possible to do and somethign we should have done.

3 gimmes before we start playing real games on the 17th. Utah. Still think we should have added another quality non conference game or two.
Seems like we have some good names on there. Utah, SMU, UNLV, Butler/Northwestern, Pitt, Memphis. Is that not enough? I always see people complain about this, but as long as we don't lose the bad games, does it matter? I know they have that RPI or whatever the new one is, but does it really make that big of a difference.

We got in 2 years ago as a bubble team... and last year unless we win that Tenn game in the tournament we are likely in the play-in round or out... and this schedule is better than 2 years ago, but similar to last seasons.

Home games against bad teams hurt.. and we are playing more than we should. True if do well in the SEC it wont matter, but if we are that 9th or 10th team in the SEC it will.

Our non conference schedule is set up really well with all of the neutral site games. That gives us a NET boost on games in Tupelo, Jackson and Southaven that will be like home crowds but for NET purposes they count as a neutral site. Add to it the SEC is absolutely brutal and we shouldn’t have any problems getting in with 19-20 wins

we have 4 games against the projected net 300+ all at home... thats not's good and another one in the 200s. There are teams in this conference that have 0-1 of those type games. replace 2 of those games with say a memphis and southern miss at neutral sites and if you split you will come out way ahead net wise.

You are right, the SEC is going to be tough, and if we win our games there, no one will care about our non conference. But a 8-10 or 9-9 sec result and we'll be staring at a 7-10 seed at best.
