My wife (Nebraska grad) has given up on her Huskers - I told her about the ending. Her response? "That's not fair!" No, dear, just another day in B1G officiating.
Privately, I was glad USC won in order to bolster PSU strength of schedule. But I feel bad for Rhule - so close, but now he'll need to win over either Wisconsin or Iowa to get Nebraska bowl-eligible - for the first time in 8 years.
Nebraska is actually more slighted by the B1G than PSU. The B1G will always favor their "sexy" teams. On full display today.
yeah, kind of hard to explain the lack of a flag/call on that play.
While I'm not a big Nebraska fan (apologies to your wife), I certainly sympathize with her. This board would explode if that had been PSU that was held on that play.
I like Rhule, and if given time and resources, I think he'll turn things around at Nebraska.
Players complaining about the cold at UT v UGA game. It's 51 degrees and the UT heated Bench isn't working. LOL, these playoff games up North are gonna be fun!!

I was just about to type this. Again, I think a home playoff game at the Beav vs a southern team gives PSU an advantage.
Huge advantage! Unlike the bowl games where teams would travel to their destination a week out in order to acclimate to the heat, I don't see teams coming to PA a week early to acclimate to the cold. It's literally going to be a shock for them.
The B1G official was visibly upset with the Wisky player's joy after scoring. How you know you're dealing with a crew with an agenda.
I do wonder what would happen if we win out, OSU beats Indiana, but somehow loses to Michigan. Us and Indiana would both have 1 conference loss and no head to head. I wonder what next tie breaker is.
I'm watching the Wisky ~ O game and at least twice have seen this BiG officiating crew make some strange calls ... once (or twice) they called delay of game on the defense when they made a shift before the snap, and once they called a defense lineman for holding when he was being double teamed.
What are the tie breakers? there could be 4 teams with 1 loss.
Obviously O$U gets in per secret Big10 bylaws but the other team... probably Michigan with 4 losses.
Pretty sure the winner of The Game and the highest ranked team automatically qualifiy in case of a 4 way tie.
The guest referee then trolls the SEC refs for having long sleeve shirts on by saying, “If this was a Big Ten crew they’d have short sleeves on.”
Good lord. Even Herbie saying if UGA losses and has 3, committee should still strongly consider them.
