I am not shocked that the NCAA rewarded Juwan Howard by putting him in the NCAA tournament with a 17-14 record. It would not look good if they didn't let him in after he was unfairly suspended for 5 games for striking an opposing coach and lost his only game following the suspension. One has to believe he wouldn't have lost if wasn't rusty from not being able to coach for those five games. The suspension was obviously unfair so the only fair thing was to reward him with an NCAA bid. Good job once again NCAA! A&M certainly didn't deserve to get in at 23-12 and a SEC Tournament Final run because Howard was ranked in the top 5 in the preseason.

and they give Duke a #2 seed. The NCAA looks out for the traditional powers when it comes to the NCAA tournament. I can't believe that TAMU got left out. They are still punishing the SEC for lack of perceived strength as a basketball conference. We had one of the best if not the best basketball conference in the country this season but were not treated as such. I sometimes think it's their way of getting back at us for dominating in football.
