I duno how I’m gonna sleep tonight. Freaking out over here. LET’S GOOOOO!!!!!!
And without having to use any of the high leverage guys out of the bullpen tonight?? HUGE!! Barring a meltdown from a SP, a lot of options out of the bullpen over the next 2 games.Four more scoreless innings for the bullpen. Who saw that coming back in July?
Oh hell yeah! I feel like this was a huge game in the series. Another rough loss and maybe that game 1 win was a mirage and momentum fully swings to Houston. Quite the opposite. That was a freaking statement tonight. Advantage Phillies.
Where's the two thumbs up button?Absolutely.
99% of the time for sporting events, whether my team is the favorite or not, I'm very relaxed at the beginning of the competition. I've seen so many games/matches over the years that I've learned to not get too high or too low early in the contest.
Tonight, I felt like this game was likely going to determine the WS winner. And while Suarez has been effective in the postseason, he hasn't done so in a commanding way. I was really tense at the start. Bryce's HR (following Ranger's 1-2-3 1st) relaxed me a bit, but I was still tense even when the Phils were up 4-0.
The Astros are a terrific team, and have talent out the wazoo. Two more wins sounds great, but I don't underestimate the difficulty of beating the Astros two more times.
But the way the Phils played tonight, and the way CBP crowd was into tonight's game, and being up 2-1 in the Series, it's hard not to be super excited.
LFG!
Classic burn.Houston extended Halloween by a day by dressing up as a baseball team.
Your handle is apropos!I'm not happy with 7-0. The more insurance the better.
I thought he was, glove higher at hand separation was slider and hands lower was sinker but if you watch enough of it you’ll see he just mixes up his delivery. He only threw 5 fastballs after the first inning and only 9 for the entire game so I’m not so sure he was tipping and if he was it was just for fastballs which played little impact in the game as the only ball hit was bohms homer on a sinker. He was still getting a high chase% and whiff% on slider/change up meaning we didn’t know which one of those 2 he was throwing.Check out Todd Frazier on "Get Up" this morning on how McCullers was tipping his pitches. Pretty neat segment on how Philly hitters knew what pitch was coming. Interesting stat...McCullers had not given up a homer on an off speed pitch in 651 off speed pitches thrown during the regular season. Last nite 4 homers came on off speed pitches...

any time we have RISP tonight, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE leave the room.
To be fair Tom, we didn't actually have any RISP lastnight. All runs were scored with bases empty or a runner on 1st.
I have another feeling....this doesn't go back to Houston!!
Ha! It was outstanding. Which is stating the obvious. But the place was just hopping for nine innings. Few sat down. The Harper home run was the second loudest sporting event moment I've ever witnessed in person (the blocked FG against OSU being the loudest, of course). Parking and traffic was pretty good given the event. There were no lines whatsoever to get in. Concessions were packed of course but too be expected and seemed to be moving (we didn't stop). Really, everything you might imagine that game to be at, it was. I've said it before but the game day ops people do a great job keeping the environment going. We were in 308 (so the foul pole was to the right of our seats) and so the Castellanos catch was right in front of us in the first inning. He covered an insane amount of ground and made that exact catch again. Crazy.@GregPickel -- I suspect you're still recovering from being at CBP for game 3 (and a bit of a sleep deficit). However, when you have time (not during game 4), please give us a report of your experience.
BTW, perhaps we should have sent you down there for game 4. The Phils are not teeing off on Javier like they did to the Houston pitcher in game 3.
