The team hotel is the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. As of yesterday a room with a King bed and a sitting area (only rooms left) were $858 per night.

I can appreciate wanting to be in the team hotel. However, MB stadium is just a short walk from the MARTA (google says 4-minute walk). If you haven't used MARTA, it is very good and clean. You can get a week's pass for about $10. I am flying in and staying near the airport. I'll MARTA in the day of. You avoid traffic and don't have to pay for parking. If you stay longer, a MARTA trip to any place along the line will take less than a half hour. Did I say no traffic?

The Renaissance Concourse at the ATL right now is showing rooms for $135.

Wow. Manny leaving really tanked Peach Bowl tickets.
A friend who does this a lot suggested buying game tickets after Xmas. Apparently, a lot of tickets are bought as Xmas gifts. If you can wait until gameday, ideal, as lots of people will get the flu or not be able to make flights. Especially if there is a weather issue in the USA at a hub.

I never thought to wait until after Christmas. That is a really good idea. I bought tickets right after it was announced that we were playing there. Bought them on Stubhub but got them for basically face value. I always buy the cheap seats because I really don't mind sitting up there. Got a really good deal on the Aloft Downtown which is within walking distance to the stadium. We don't need to worry about flights since Atlanta is drivable from NC where we are. Really looking for to spending a few days in Atlanta (never been) with the family and then hopefully seeing a big win.

Interesting data. Should be a good time.

Don't the Ol' Miss people go to games in suits and whatnot like the Auburn people? That would be weird.

Poor Fiesta Bowl; this is why Group of Five teams should not be given automatic NY6 bowl bids.
It’s why I gave up my “season tickets” to the Fiesta. Hard to justify renewing at list for three years, only to get a decent game every fourth year.

It will be interesting to see how the playoffs impact bowls and prices.

The amazing thing with the Fiesta is that “Get In” is $53 for upper deck, corners in the upper rows. For $5 more you get a 5* location according to TickPick in the lower level corners.
