Favorites? Germany?

I think Germany is the most balanced. Surprised that this article ranked Spain as low as #10.

Look like former Nittany Lion Laura Freigang is on the German squad. She played two years for PSU before returning to Germany.

Kickoff is 3am Thursday. We’ll have to deal with the 12-hour time difference, as the matches are in New Zealand and Australia.

This is awesome. Always root for France after the US.

Though in French, I think it's easy to get the gist....

The goal came from a PK, with the foul in the box called against former PSUer Marissa Sheva:

Denmark 0-0 China at 69’, on Fox. Two very evenly matched teams. A surprisingly close match: England 1-0 Haiti, FT.

Denmark 1-0 China at 90’. A nice long header off a corner kick. Denmark deserves the W, the better side today. Six minutes stoppage time added.

Wow, China almost put the ball in the net off a free kick, the flag did go up but that was a butt clenching moment.

Denmark 1-0 China, FT.

somewhat of a surprise, as Zambia has gotten a lot of pre-tournament buzz.

Brazil-Panama just kicked off. I’m thinking something along the lines of 5-0, from what I’ve seen the first five minutes. Panama is using a 5-4-1, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. Now, off to the gym!
