That brings up the question, why was Brown not willing to gracefully step down and chose firing instead?

Doesn't being fired mean they have to pay the buyout? I'm sure they could have negotiated a settlement, but maybe Mack wanted it all!

I was going to say the same thing about Stoops, he's pretty good with a decent QB, I don't see him going anywhere, but I hope they pull the trigger and let him go!

I see your point, but Malzhan's ingenious blocking schemes as related to the read-option play DEMAND a true double-threat quarterback who can analyze on the fly. Marshall was perfect.

There was a shifty dual threat qb at BC this past year who left the team mid seaon. (The coach wanted a drop back passer for his offense?)

The announcers were talking about ties to the Florida schools, and how they thought he would end up at FSU.

Seems the stage is being set.
