cuz I got a little free time Friday afternoon and I am a bit bored....and I enjoy the demise of others.....

Note: I have no idea what the buy outs are of these guys and so not including that. Besides - its the hot seat, not who is definitely going to lose their job. Power 5 4 only.

1. Chip Kelly, UCLA - decent enough season this year, but he would have benefitted from Moore staying around. Losing D'Anton Lynn does not help him.
2. Lincoln Riley, USC - not sure what his buy out is, but hard pressed to believe he will equal 10 wins without Caleb Williams. Hell, he did not get 10 wins this year. D'Anton Lynn will make some positive impact, but I am of the opinion the pressure is on.
3. Kalani Sitake, BYU - did not get off to a good start in the Big 12.
4. Dave Aranda, Baylor - they won't tolerate another losing season. A little surprised he did not get canned.
5. Sam Pittman, Arkansas - see Dave Aranda and Baylor. Having the former Arkansas coach as your OC should make you feel a bit nervous for your job.
6. Brent Bieleman, Illinois- it's just been "meh" for the Illini.
7. Matt Campbell, Iowa State- not sure if they will do better, but 4-8 is still 4-8
8. Dave Clawson, Wake Forest - they seem to be declining
9. Shane Beamer, South Carolina - Just "meh"....they also seem to be declining....
10. Billy Napier, Florida - if he does not pick it up, he is not going to last much longer in Gainesville. It is especially glaring considering the recent success of F$U
11. Mario Cristobal, Miami - they will have no problem running him out of town if they don't significantly improve
12. Justin Wilcox, Cal - a 6-6 season saved him this year, but they don't seem to ever get past the hump. Of course, at Cal probably no one pays attention anyway until the Stanford game.

...and of course....Franklin.....

After next year, Riley's buyout will be $75+mm. Cristobal's will be between $55mm-60mm.

Campbell was 7-5 this past season (ISU was 4-8 last year). Win or lose his bowl game and he's where he's been for all but two years of his tenure. ISU will think hard before they replace him. Ames is not a destination location for players or coaches.

I’m disappointed to see that PSU doesn’t have a monopoly on stupidity. At least we still lead the league.

Just in terms of contract structure, USC has PSU beat hands down. Then there's aTm, which has come to fruition. Miami is tied.

Those schools hired their coaches to win national tiles and will fire (has fired in the case of aTm) them if they don't win or make a run (and I'm not sure if simply making a 12 team playoff counts). PSU's motivation was different.

Illinois won't fire Bret Bieleman for two reasons: He personally is keeping the Golden Corral buffet chain solvent in the state of Illinois and 2). His wife is the main reason anyone would want to travel to Illinois in the first place.

Far different alumni/donor pocketbooks.

PSU isn’t in the same league. PSU alums tend to be frugal
