Sounds good, except drafting QBs in the first round that bust sets you back multiple years, like the Browns have done several times. Now, if you take a flyer on a QB in later rounds and it doesn’t work out, not such a big deal.Sure, but which of those Browns QBs in all that time would have turned them around if they'd just been more patient? The fact that the Browns are just atrocious at evaluating QB talent doesn't invalidate my plan.
Look around the league. You essentially know before the season starts which 6-8 teams can actually win the Super Bowl with their QB. If you don't have one of those, you're just wasting your time with whoever you have. Draft QBs until you have a super bowl caliber one.
Pribula will be the answer, just like everyone thinks he will be here….What exists is a guy that lost his job to a 3rd stringer and Rudolph is now a free agent. You think 2025 draft is the answer?

Unfortunately, outside of Ben, the Steelers don’t have a very good track record of drafting QBs for a few decades. Ben was a home run, but others have been busts.Agree, I’m not advocating for taking a 1st round QB if he doesn’t fit the grade (see, Kenny Pickett)
I just don’t think Justin Fields is even remotely the answerWhat exists is a guy that lost his job to a 3rd stringer and Rudolph is now a free agent. You think 2025 draft is the answer?
Unfortunately, I think it's more likely Tannehill that they bring in because of the OC. I'd rather sign Rudolph back than that.Having a mediocre offensive line won’t be good for a new quarterback, but especially a rookie. I think they could get a decent free agent guy like Gardner Minshew to battle picket for this year who won’t cost an arm and a leg, but will be a definite upgrade from who they had last year.they could then use their first two pics on another tackle and center so that way whoever is the quarterback in 2025 will have a quality offensive line.
If they decide to trade back a few spots in the first round, they may not get a tackle that they want but they could then draft the center they need and have an extra pick to maybe get a guy like Jordan Travis later
I’d be ok with this too. Teams like the Eagles and Chiefs built up their lines before they got their franchise QB and it paid off. Smith likes to run the ball at OC, so build up that OL and run it then. I’ve read where the UGA OT is a road grader at run blocking. If they get him, it would move Jones back to LT. Draft a C to anchor the OL and give them some time to gel.Having a mediocre offensive line won’t be good for a new quarterback, but especially a rookie. Well this certainly isn't a good look for the organization. At least part of the blame is pointing at sharing the stadium with Pitt.

I may have to wander over to the pitt site to see what they think.![]()
The treatment of families got a F- ? That's the one I find most surprising.![]()

Yea I was wondering about that one and the ownership surprised me. I thought the Rooney's were held in pretty high regard. The treatment of families got a F- ? That's the one I find most surprising.
Rooney and Tull are buying up minority shares of the team. Guess when Tull became a minority owner of the Steelers? 2009.I'm far more embarrassed about the terrible personnel decisions and ridiculous pathetic losses over the last decade.
Damn. We’re all getting older. A very solid LB!RIP Andy Russell

Steelers LB Andy Russell Dead At 82
Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Andy Russell has died. He was 82. WTAE reported the news Friday morning. BREAKING: Former Steeler Andy Russell, member of famed Steel Curtain defense, dies, source tells Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 >> https://t.co/SsQee60mQo pic.twitter.com/5PdpQ1zdZ6 —...steelersdepot.com
That is the game that created the Terrible Towel. Myron Cope waived a towel yelling at Russell to get moving.I was at a playoff game in the 1970's at Three Rivers Stadium when Andy returned a fumble for a 93-yard touchdown after a strip sack by Jack Ham.
He was playing with a hamstring injury that day. His teammates wanted him to lateral the ball during his return but he gutted it out to get the touchdown. Andy never missed a game in his 12 years as a Steeler.

Ham, Russell and Lambert were an excellent trio of linebackers. Have an autographed and framed picture of them together in the locker room during the 1974 Super Bowel in New Orleans.

That actually resulted because of a "late hit" that was actually a push. James Harrison was at practice today. I hope he laughed at this sissy BS.Fields. Never disappoints running his mouth.

Boy, that’s pathetic. They were just discussing The Steelers receiving options on Sportscenter and they said that Freiermuth would see an expanded role. Hannah Storm said, "Yeah we love him. Go Irish." LOL
