Zack Ryder's tournament (79 Kg):

R1 (quarterfinal): 8-0 by VPO over Araujo (Brazil)
R2 (semi): 11-0 by VSU @ 2:46 over Cubas (Peru)
R3 (final): 10-0 by VSU @ 1:00 over Olavarria (Puerto Rico)

Pan Ams was a weak tournament overall, but this was one good opponent. LJ Araujo is a 5x North Dakota state champ, Super 32 champ, NHSCA finalist (lost 4-3 to Conner Harer), Fargo JR finalist, 2024 Nebraska commit.

So he's pretty good -- and Ryder beat him decisively.

With Cuba taking a big step back the Pan-Ams have become a bit of a joke.

Yeah, the competition is such that the utter domination doesn't mean that much.

Should also note that this wasn't our U20 World Team. Some were, but Barr and Kueter + a couple others did not compete at Pan Ams.
