Did Gilman portal back to PSU/NLWC?
Lilledahl and Blaze were quick to share it on social media. So yes, safe to say there are plenty of happy people in State College about this.I haven’t had a chance to listen to this interview yet, but I know that a lot of Penn St lightweight wrestlers felt T Gilman was instrumental in their development. Really happy he is back. I think that means good things for him and Penn St wrestler development.
after listening, hard for me not to think Gilman is very challenging to work with as a colleague.Lilledahl and Blaze were quick to share it on social media. So yes, safe to say there are plenty of happy people in State College about this.
Posted a story with him talking about coming back on the podcast, but the whole thing is worth a listen as it gets into leaving Oklahoma State and much more:

Thomas Gilman returning to the Penn State Nittany Lion Wrestling Club after one year with David Taylor at Oklahoma State
Penn State wrestling's NLWC will get a boost with the return of Thomas Gilman after one season at Oklahoma State.www.on3.com
I see the opposite -- he's completely honest, doesn't play games, wants the best.after listening, hard for me not to think Gilman is very challenging to work with as a colleague.
I actually like him more now than I did previously.I see the opposite -- he's completely honest, doesn't play games, wants the best.
The challenge seems to be if he thinks you're playing games with him or not doing everything you can, or not communicating with him.
Yeah, that was really weird. These guys have worked in a room together, but the athlete vs athlete angle is different when you are suddenly the coach. The off mat things are a big deal and everyone was cutting their teeth on these issues. Plus the $$ issues with the kids, when you are bidding and paying for talent, could be a point of contention. Thomas could have been the pledge coach............He said that almost as soon as he got to Oklahoma, there were issues with the staff…
I wonder whether he means with Dave and/or Jimmy, strength coach/trainer, etc., secretaries, etc., or some combination of these.
Thrilled to have Gilman back. DT is really into Promoting himself. Gilman stated that he made an impulsive decision leaving PSU. As we all know Cael, Casey, and Cody are the opposite of Self promoting. Gilman was here at PSU before so I hope he gets right back in the flow which I’m sure he will. Sounds lime he’ll have a bigger role. Perhaps he’ll be spending a lot of time at M2 along with helping our light weights. Very excited for him.that was answered in the Baschmania podcast (I posted the YouTube version). Yes, back to NLWC
Your staff issues comment must have more legs than one might imagine based on the latest interviewProbably a combination of things. His wife is from PA, and that was no small part of why he moved to PSU the first time.
Some smoke about he and Taylor not always seeing eye to eye as coaches, not sure how reliable that is.
Ultimately it would force Taylor to hire a new assistant AND deprive his lightweights of a world champ-level training partner.
Quite a jump to conclusions. He will be spending time with NLWC light weights bc they are paying him to do so, brilliant insight. The dude is clearly a loose cannon. Prob a good coach too. How anyone can listen to that interview while he can’t prepare with a power cord and think he might not be a good teammate is…something.Thrilled to have Gilman back. Obviously the psu coaching staff have dealt with him before and have no problem bringing him back and pretty sure he is taking a pay cut to come back.Quite a jump to conclusions. I believe you missed the janitor. He said that almost as soon as he got to Oklahoma, there were issues with the staff…
