Agree. I need to see a junior year like his freshman year. He's off to a good start on it.agree.
For somebody that had been out for 8 months, that was a nice sequence: Hi-C, to a single, to a double for the TD
Looks like Norwin's schedule is still in work. Last year they went to Beast, Powerade, and Doc B. A schedule like that will show how good he is.Agree. I need to see a junior year like his freshman year. He's off to a good start on it.
Yes, he told me that he is.Looks like Norwin's schedule is still in work. Last year they went to Beast, Powerade, and Doc B. A schedule like that will show how good he is.
He won't be tested at all in the PIAA postseason unless he bumps up to 127 AND Dillard or Ballard don't move up. Even then, the Sidun who wrestled last night has too much offense for them.
@GregPickel Do you know if he's going to Super 32?
Excellent. Super 32 is next weekend.Yes, he told me that he is.
Yes. He's entered at 120. That weight is by far the toughest at the Super 32 - it's absolutely stacked. It includes 21 of my top 25 at that weight and 39 of my top 55. Sidun, Zinkin, Munaretto, Kenny, Sontz, Uhorchuk, Rothermel, Jakob, Rozas and Dodd are all entered. That's all 10 of my top 10 at the weight. It's going to be nuts.Looks like Norwin's schedule is still in work. Last year they went to Beast, Powerade, and Doc B. A schedule like that will show how good he is.

Seeds for super 32 are # 1 Sidun #2 Zinkin #3 MunarettoExcellent. Super 32 is next weekend.
Achilles is what I thought as well. A super common injury these days. I really hope not because that’s a major injury and would be his second major injury in not a lot of timeAny word on what happened with Raney’s leg? I watched the replay several times trying to figure out what exactly went wrong, but I didn’t see anything super abnormal (i.e. knee or ankle going the wrong way). It looked to be his non-padded knee. Some people in the comments on twitter were speculating it was his Achilles?
Which makes sense, since Sidun has won the event before.Seeds for super 32 are # 1 Sidun #2 Zinkin #3 Munaretto

Definitely a deep weight but one guy is way better then the rest as he showed last night.Yes. He's entered at 120. That weight is by far the toughest at the Super 32 - it's absolutely stacked. Hopefully he takes his time and doesn't rush back for his 6th state title . It's something they want he rushed back from his ACL last year for #5. He was back in competition after 6 months and still walks with a limpSounds like the worst case scenario was avoided for Raney which is obviously great. Always hate seeing kids not being able to compete in a big match because of an injury
Corby think again!Zinkin vs Sidun will be a good match . Zinkin has gotten much better the last year. I think he beats Sidun. He handled and pinned Munaretto in the 1st match
The rest of my top 25 that's in at 120: Luttrell (13), Enzminger (14), Sibomana (15), McGinty (16), Vandermark (18), Tovar (19), Merli (20), Bell (21), Rios (23) and Wolford (25). A lot of really good kids are not placing.Just saved me a lot of work!
Other returning PA state placers at S32 120:
Nicholas McGarrity, Peters Twp S1/S3
Sam Wolford, N. Lebanon S2
Carter Chunko, Saucon Valley S2
Kavin Muyleart, Cedar Cliff S2
Thunder Beard, C. Dauphin S4
Dakota Santamaria, Tussey Mtn S5
Tommy Gretz, Connellsville S6
DE state champ Gabe Campanelli is from Chadds Ford PA.
From NJ: Sontz, Kenny, S1 JoJo Burke, and 2x S2 Johnathon McGinty are also in the field. McGinty is a returning Super 32 finalist and might not place this year, given how stacked this field is.
Plus, this being Super 32, there will likely be approximately 87 rounds in the championship side of the bracket, in 2 days.
Whoever wins this weight will have earned it.
well he is a PA kid, thats all you need to know!Damn, Sidun. I was not familiar with your work.
He was out of sight, out of mind his sophomore year due to injury. He had a great freshman year.well he is a PA kid, thats all you need to know!
Herring is a tremendous addition to the room. He’s very well liked already, a wrestling junkie and a very hard worker. He could definitely end up like a Barraclough and Conaway and slowly become an AA level upperclassman but I don’t have him in the lineup very early, if ever. The PA class is typical - deep, but not great at the top. Sidun and the Bishop McCort kids are the real leg-breakers. The Bishop McCort kid we signed is their fourth-best kid, and he's a distant fourth.
In fairness, none of Sidun, the Bachmanns, Harer, Dillard, Waters, Singer, and Bechtold would make the top 3 on that McCort team. The PA class is typical - deep, but not great at the top. I remember when Cael was on the phone with Courtney, and Varner yelled to Cael: “hang up now, I’ve got Nick Lee on the line!”… We're all happy we got Nick Lee instead of Brian Courtney at 141 in the same class, right?
Spyker, is that youI remember when Cael was on the phone with Courtney, and Varner yelled to him: “hang up now, I’ve got Nick Lee on the line!”![]()
I don’t see him in list of entries.is Burnett expected at Super 32 at a different weight ?
Correct. There are four current PA kids who I would put on the top half of the podium at the NCAAs. A lot of maybe fifth by your junior year types. In fairness, none of Sidun, the Bachmanns, Harer, Dillard, Waters, Singer, and Bechtold would make the top 3 on that McCort team.
Agreed with the bigger point. The truly elite talent, those that win individual and team titles, is dispersed. Recruit accordingly. We're all happy we got Nick Lee instead of Brian Courtney at 141 in the same class, right?
Burnett is not entered.is Burnett expected at Super 32 at a different weight ?
Just watched it. Didn’t look like much of anything. Ankle bows inward but from sitting on it as Shane said. No roll like the classic ankle sprainNot good. Raney looks to be really hurt. He’s in a lot pain. Hopefully he’s ok but I doubt this match continues. He does default and gets carried off the mat. Looks to be serious. Awful for a really great kid
