Another potentially dangerous night of severe weather looks to unfold across north MS and adjoining areas. SPC specifically mentioning strong to violent tornadoes possible. As of right now the main threat area for MS looks to be along and north of the 82 corridor. Timing looks to be nocturnal again. I'm looking at two things that may...I stress may...reduce the effects of this system. The first is the cloud cover that might keep temps down and reducing instability. The other is the fact that while these storms are expected to start out discrete, they should grow upscale into more of a line. That will at least reduce the violent tornado odds. But like last week, if any discrete storm forms and gets out by itself then we could see a repeat performance. Will that happen? I don't know. But keep weather aware and we will see where the night takes us. I'll be leaving straight after work headed out chasing and hoping I don't see this Friday what I saw last Friday. Chase will be live streamed on our patreon site for premiere access members.

Hearing reports starting to get some breaks in the clouds, too. Already have dew points in the low to mid 60's.

Getting breezy here in Memphis. Not looking forward to this evening.

I hate that this is on a Friday evening because you know a lot of people aren’t going to give a shìt and not be paying attention while they go out for the evening.

There’s also a Grizzlies game tonight at the Forum. 17.

Yeah, so much for that idea...

This stuff will be blowing up right within the window of the game.

ETA: Maybe a little before game time. It was looking like a 7 to 9 window earlier but now it's looking more like 6 to 8.

Sun just broke through in Tupelo for about 30 minutes but then clouds rolled back in. Praying we don't have another night like last Friday night.

I think we're about to get a little rain, but I don't think that's going to put much of a damper on things. I expect us to get some more sun before we're dealing with the main event.
That rain just passed south and east of Hernando. Nothing but blue sky looking west.

It looks like this outbreak is starting to turn loose now from Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa, already and it seems like it's going to intensify in the area they've already warned about possible development this afternoon and tonight.

Guys... Y'all be careful this evening. Have a plan in place please.

Already a bad dual tornado cell in Arkansas about to cross to Tennessee. Very nervous about what is to come.

I hope I don’t lose my big blue tarp tonight. It was a ***** to put on last weekend.
