I guess Dibba could redshirt this year. He's played in 3 games, so if that's the plan he can't play any more. He played 6 games in 2019 before hurting his knee and missing the rest of the season. So I guess he could apply for a medical RS?The Horse, the Belgian lawyer and Dibba coming back next season?
I just wonder how much schedule might take a toll on UT. To end the year they had/have #11 AU, @ #14 Bama, @ #17 USC, and #15 UK. That's a helluva stretch, and they've already taken down AU and Bama. I just wonder if the placement of our game, coming off a tough road game with UK looming, is an advantage for us.I just don't want to flop tonight. Just been around too long and seen us wilt under pressure (in various sports) time and time again.
The upside for us is that I think our guys should be pretty loose. A lot is on the line in the game, but win or lose, we've obliterated expectations this season. You would think more pressure is on UT as they were the pre-season pick to win the conference. From that perspective, I would hope our guys are loose and UT is a bit tight, but they are so good and Barnes so experienced, he'll have them ready. Then you've got the revenge factor from our win in Knoxville.

Exactly what we did the first game...I think you let him get his. He's good enough to where he can still get 20 if you try to clamp down on him. But that's only going to open up opportunities for others. We didn't let Zeigler, Vescovi, Aidoo, or James do anything. That's the key. He can't beat us by himself.I don't think anyone in the country has a tougher 4-game stretch to end the season than UT. One thing's for sure, if they end up #1 in the SEC, they will have earned it the hard way.
So hard to say about the placement of our game. You can look it at a million ways. Two of their 3 conference losses have come on the road. But...they only have 3 losses, lol.
Knecht hasn't been AS dominant in the last few games, scoring under 20 points in 3 of 5 games (went off for 39 vs Auburn, though). Maybe he doesn't blow up tonight? We can hope. He's the only reason the first game with UT was close, scoring 52% of their points. I'm not sure what the best formula is with Knect. Concede points to him and contain everyone else? Or expend energy trying to contain him and force the others to beat you?

That sums it up for a lot of us. We've seen the movie too many times.I think the revenge factor will be big. I've been a Gamecock fan for farrrrr too long to feel good about this one. I'm hoping against but expecting a kick in the nads.
