Secretly I wanted to see 80+ points, but that was a great game against an inferior opponent. I’m actually surprised we didn’t see more pressure from the defense, although holding Akron under 200 yards was nice. Otherwise it was a game we needed to dominate and we did. GG Gamecocks!

I totally agree. Especially since we played without our number one QB, our number one RB and one of our top receivers. I think some of the posters on this site would not be happy even if we score 100 points with 750 yards and hold the opponent scoreless with less than 50 yards of total offense.
Gives me hope we can keep games close and have chances to win. But make no mistake, the schedule is brutal and I don’t think we have proven threats at WR. Our strength is running QB’s. Got to hope teams cheat up to stop it and we make big plays down the field. It can happen, but guys, this is not the 2024 video game. Much, much more difficult to do in real life. Our defense will keep us in games. Question is, can the offense do enough to win some games. I hope so.
