Right now it is 1030pm in Aldebourne, England. In 90 minutes my FIL will be getting on a plane to jump behind enemy lines in Normandy with the 101st Airborne. 22 years old at the time, my god, he didn’t know what the heck he was getting into. Truly, these brave souls were our greatest generation. It was my honor to know him, not to mention marrying his daughter.
