Never understood the psychology of not doing something at the end of a game, that has been working all game, in order to win the game.
My theory, probably wrong...coaches make so much money, which leads to one of two opposite reactions: 1--they want to attempt to justify their salaries by showing how smart they are by doing something different when all the rubes are saying just do what you've been doing; or, 2--they want to be able to point to the analytics which say to do this on this down and distance, irrespective of what may have been working, in order to protect themselves and their salaries. Again, probably not right.
