Interesting. We know A&M wasn't happy AT ALL with UT being let in. My guess is the SEC wouldn't care too much, as they now have the TX school they wanted the whole time.
Meant to paste this one…Well, that Flash came out on 1/5/2024 from "Oklahoma USA" and sort of subsided quickly. I'm taking the under on it unless there's a lot more smoke than this.

Already ran from them once right?I know that the alumni mostly don't like the idea of running from Texas. If the administration trends otherwise, there will be sparks.
It could be construed that way, but I think that actually mitigates against them jumping again. The cravenness would be undeniable.Already ran from them once right?
Oklahoma State?Hmm...and it would conveniently make room for certain other schools. Isn't the more money thing temporary based on projections?
This guy Swaim is constantly throwing S**t against the wall in the hopes something sticks.
I suppose eventually something at sometime will stick.

He is definitely very "liberal" with his "breaking news". But he's also not wrong all the time either. Take it with a grain of salt. But also, I can see it. There's nothing holding any team to the SEC, and I'm sure the B1G would value that addition more than it would hurt the SEC if they left. This guy Swaim is constantly throwing S**t against the wall in the hopes something sticks.

It's a move I haven't heard even whispered. As far as the money, the B1G and FOX media deal supposedly has some flexibility built in due to the addition of teams that bring value....I know they are supposed to get a bump from adding SoCal and a couple of others. In addition, for any school wanting to join....there is the BTAA research funding which is substantial and something the SEC doesn't have. It was the primary reason Mizzou wanted a B1G invite so bad.Hmm...and it would conveniently make room for certain other schools. Isn't the more money thing temporary based on projections?
The SEC should orchestrate a trade...we give you A&M, you give us NEB. Would be good to get one of the most valuable programs in the country, who just happens to be a blue blood.
Why would Nebraska leave??....especially since they are now getting a full share of conference money. The SEC should orchestrate a trade...we give you A&M, you give us NEB. Would be good to get one of the most valuable programs in the country, who just happens to be a blue blood.

At least we got that one.It would suck if they bolted for the Big 10 with us only notching 1 win against them in the SEC.
It may be made up, but it would make a ton of sense for everyone involved. B1G would get a school in SEC territory (don’t be surprised if they try and plant their flag in Atlanta with GT). A&M gets away from Texas (with whom they can’t compete on even conference footing). The SEC still has Texas as a territory but makes room for another school that can help expand (in NC, VA or south Florida). And SEC fans never have to hear from those garbage fans again.

What do you think it's true? That a sports radio guy in OK doesn't have sources that's telling him it's a possibility? I'm not claiming it's true or not true. Not my place. All I can say as that it's a real account, not a parody account. Whatever you want to believe is your business.Where do you find crazy stuff like this? You know this isn’t true right?
I’m an Aggie . This isn’t being discussed. Sorry if I sounded insulting initially. There is no evidence of this rumor. What do you think it's true? No apology needed. I didn't take it as insulting. Conference expansion is nothing more than rumor and innuendo until it happens. Just look at what happened to the P12. Oregon and Washington told the P12 they were leaving minutes before they were supposed to have a meeting to sign a GOR deal with the P12. Nobody saw it coming. You never know until you know.I’m an Aggie . This isn’t being discussed. Sorry if I sounded insulting initially. There is no evidence of this rumor.

Uh, they were very upset...publicly upset. Here is a link before UT got the invite where former A&M AD Bjork said "We want to be the only SEC program in the state of Texas. There's a reason why Texas A&M left the Big 12 - to be standalone, to have our own identity."This would be colossally stupid for them. I the internet loves to chat about how mad they were that UT got the SEC invite but not real evidence that is true.
Rogue I know you talk about this a lot and I may have already asked and will apologize. However, could incoming schools deemed unworthy just be left out of the BTAA. Then added if ever deemed worthy. It's a move I haven't heard even whispered. Never have. Never heard it mentioned as a realistic possibility either, except for UND. So, if they had no other options, I guess they could make an exception....just don't see it right now though.Rogue I know you talk about this a lot and I may have already asked and will apologize.
