I was looking at faculty pay last year out of curiosity. I picked Finance because I knew those fellas made a lot of cash and was curious how much it really was. Then I searched today and found the info below on another website (by the way it is really damn hard to get info like this unless you are in the library). I realize what I have below is Southern Miss but I saw faculty pay at State in the same department while in the library last year. The USM pay is very comparable to the MSU pay at least in that department. Granted most of us will look at those amounts and think it is a lot of money...and it is. But the top guy at Southern makes just over half of what the top guy at South Carolina makes. Again, this is very similar to pay at State in Finance.

Trust me.....you can make a lot more money elsewhere. And guess what, you have people that actually don't like living in Starkville. Hard to believe isn't it? So give them some perks, keep them here for less pay, and it is probably a wash when looking at the entire university's bottom line. Hell it may come out in the good for the bottom line.

BS ... move the students further into the new endzones, eliminate about 5-8 seats per row making it so that you can actually fit in the seat space, reallocate the removed seats to the section where the students were before they were pushed further into the new endzone and TA-DA seats filled.

</p>As a fellow fat ***, I agree totally.

I wondered if anybody would catch that. Ya see, making the changes I propose would be as well received as eating children.

1. like i said it is difficult to find this info and it was readily available. so i used it. call me lazy.
2. even though the numbers were readily available you may want to rethink your logic. if i compared us to the 2nd poorest state east of the MS River and they still kick our asses in salary then intuitively it would make my argument stronger and your comment extremely dumb.
