He’s a quitter and a terrible role model to young football players coming out of college. Truthfully speaking, I don’t think he’s stable.
Yes he certainly doesHe honestly needs some psychiatric help.
I admire his consistency! The QB of my high school team quit in the locker room at halftime during an away game against State College when I was in 10th grade. He was also the coach’s nephew. He changed his clothes and went up into the visitor’s section and found a ride home. He was originally the backup but our starter had to sit out two games because of grades. Granted, we were a lousy team finishing 1-10, but still.
He also quit the t&f team mid season in the spring.
I’m in the camp that thinks AB has serious negative effects from a few hits to the head. There are two I can remember where I thought he’d never get up. This has a Mike Webster or Junior Seau type feel to it. Justin Strzelczyk always seemed like a nice guy … until the brain damage proved to be too much.
I could be forgetting some things but for the vast majority of his career in Pgh, he was the furthest thing from a problem child. That hit (along with the compound effect of all the smaller ones he absorbed prior to it) really changed him. My hunch is that AB should be the new poster child for CTE.
No he was always an a$$hole. Long befor uncle Charlie’s sausage.I really think he has CTÉ and it causes him to do crazy things. Either way though he should’ve sought help after he left the Steelers he has been a time bomb about to explode. I think the league is about to expel him for good, deservedly so.
I have no idea if it's CTE or if AB is simply off the deep end. The league may expel him but it may have a deeper reason for doing so. If in fact the problem is CTE, the NFL will do whatever it can to distance itself. They'll cut AB loose and try to convince everyone the man is simply a head case. Or maybe it's as simple as that - the man is a head case.I really think he has CTÉ and it causes him to do crazy things. He has played his last down. And his problems are not so to some hit to his head. He went to CMU for a reason. He was a thug in high school and college.I have no idea if it's CTE or if AB is simply off the deep end. The league may expel him but it may have a deeper reason for doing so. How much did you give the team in the last game? Your 2 cents and that ain't worth a damn.Gave the Bucs today more than Dotson, Brisker, Tangelo, Brooks, Smith, and Ebikete gave their team their last game.
Dude stfuGave the Bucs today more than Dotson, Brisker, Tangelo, Brooks, Smith, and Ebikete gave their team their last game.
You poor bastard. Seriously. You, and the rest of Jets Nation, deserve a WHOLE LOT better.Remember this was against my lowly Jets.
Yeah, he's been a bit "off" for a while now. Hopefully he can get some real help.CTE
there are obvious triggers behind these bizarre actions.
I won’t dispute that - not at all suggesting he was a saint. But from a team standpoint - including during his most productive seasons - he was never a “me first” guy. Something changed that allowed him to internally manage his own filter.I think that Brown benefited from many years in the small markets of Central Michigan & Pittsburgh with less media scrutiny. Just like Roethlisberger. Given that Brown was kicked out of FIU because of an ‘incident’ with another student and campus security, I suspect that his trail of ’incidents’ is quite long.
I wouldn’t be surprised if people have tried to help him in the past. The problem is if he refuses help then there’s not much you can do.This guy is clearly in trouble- if the NFL actually cares about the health of its players there should be an effort made to help him.
Well they have another two first round picks (I believe both top 10) in the 2022 draft. Hope. It's all we got.You poor bastard. Seriously. You, and the rest of Jets Nation, deserve a WHOLE LOT better.
Especially since there were financial incentives for him to play more!Apparently this blow-up stemmed from Arians wanting brown to go into the game and brown refusing to do so. Yeah, something with brown is off.
Stop getting older. The older I get.. It seems that pro football gets closer and closer to resembling pro wrestling... Thoughts?
Pay cut?Did he find out he won the Powerball and decided to quit his job in the spot?
That only applies to Univ. of Texas football players.Pay cut?
All of whom announced before the game that they were not going to play. Not during the game, when the coaching staff called on them?Gave the Bucs today more than Dotson, Brisker, Tangelo, Brooks, Smith, and Ebikete gave their team their last game.
I still hate Tom and wonder what his sentiment would been had they lost the game but that being said, AB's career was over if the Bucs didn't pick him up last year. There's a good chance they would have won the SB without him as Brady has won a bunch with far less talent. To Yates's post, cbssports did a writeup on the fall, with a bit more narrative. When you read everything in totality, i mean i don't think this is a CTE from a Burfict hit or 2. This has been happening since the beginning of his NFL career, which leads me to believe it's a mental issue.
I swear, this is NOT a michigan man.... he's too good of a guy to be a michigan man. Hate him on the field because he plays for a rival or whatever, but he's a damn good dude...
Not an attractive alternative.Stop getting older.
