I assume if he doesn’t need surgery, it’s a pain tolerance thing.

I guess the days of “Yes / no he’s playing /not playing are behind us.”
Did we ever have those days? I mean, even under Joe we got the famous "he's got a knee" type responses

Lavar not playing in the 1999 regular season finale was a surprise to darn near everyone.

I was wondering about this myself, when I posted it. I think the lack of news (and this tweet) on Carter is a good omen.

I say that type of stuff all the time about my players injuries when asked by the newspapaer people and none of these young whippersnapper journalists catch on to my Joe-ism. Damn I'm old.

He could use the force. just stand on the sidelines, when the QB takes the snap just wave a hand and have it fly 30 yards over his head

Charles Xavier, the leader of the X-Men, was a great athlete before he lost his ability to walk but quit playing because he could read his opponents minds, gave him an unfair advantage. I was very into comic books back in the day.

Back to the game.

Why did he miss it? I can’t remember. He played in Alamo bowl though.
