This stuff is pointless to worry about. The schools that were already way ahead, will remain that way. We likely fall back some, being in MS. Nothing we can do about it without the state changing laws and getting millions of people to move here.

If Ole Miss Alumni still controlled our state legislative the law would change.

It sounds like the student athletes will be given links to share that they probably get paid from for links they share and get a commission.

Just make sure yall buy some stuff from these kids links when they share them.

I agree with this, no sense in worrying at all. It's not like I'm going to be paying players, it's all on the boosters/companies/etc. And the players who are on the take now were on the take before, dating all the way back to the late 70s. At least now we get a little tax revenue from it.

Boosters likely just won't be making huge contributions to facilities anymore, now that will go to players. Well, that's no big deal, because TV can handle most of that. Plus, the age of facilities is coming to an end, we did all of that over the past 20 years. Now we're headed into a generally 'maintenance' sort of phase, give or take a few things here or there like the Hump or Neyland Stadium.

But what about "equity" ? You can bet that before it's over somebody is going to demand that players at all schools share equally from the entire pot (TV, gate receipts etc etc). I.E. Why should an Alabama player deserve more than a Mississippi for "entertainment" in the same game ? If we're gonna blow this thing up...let's do it right. **
