No reason he shouldn't be our DC next season if Georgia doesn't hire him. That said, if we do wind up with Martinez I won't be as pissed as most on here. He's definitely not my first choice, or second either, but he'd still be an improvement over Torbush.

That tells me that he is good at making adjustments. Which is a positive.

On the surface, Diaz looks like a great fit. His defenses play aggressive, force turnovers, and force negative plays. They are a little unorothodox, but it could be very difficult to prepare for Mullen on offense and Diaz on defense. And there's the added bonus that he coaches LB's and his LB's played very well.

Martinez seems to be the exact opposite of Diaz. He plays a read and react very vanilla style. Easy to prepare for. His defenses don't force turnovers and don't create sacks. And he is a DB coach. We already have 2 DB coaches.
