We have had DTV for over 20 years, both because of NFL package and my wife worked there for 6 years. Now we are looking to change to all streaming services. What is the best service for the BTN, as well as ESPN? Other than locals channels, ESPN and BTN, we really do not watch anything outside of AppleTV, Disney+, and Prime (all which we have). Considering adding Netflix to that.

Try this one out for free but don't forget to cancel when the free trial is up or you'll be charged. It has local channels as well as what you're looking for.

I just cut the TV portion of my cable (kept the internet and landline) and switched to YoutubeTV. They pretty much have everything I was getting on with Xfinity Digital+ package.
So far this is my experience with YoutubeTV...Well the day after I switched they raised their rates from $65 to $73 a month. 🤦‍♂️
I've also noticed a difference in quality from Xfinity. Some stations are very good and broadcasting at 1080 but others, including ESPN, are listed at 720 on my system and yes I have the 4k streaming stick from ROKU. So I'm not sure whats up with that.
As for Netflix they are raising their rates again to $15.49 a month. Not sure what I will do but outside of the Wednesday series and the Luther Movie I hadn't watched it for a month or so. Bottom line they are going to have to up their content for me to stay.
I believe Paramont+ also raised their rates. HBO MAX is cutting costs and shows like crazy so I'll see what happens with them.
But honestly I don't see all the savings that people talk about when cutting the cord, unless they cut the cord use an Antenna for locals and have no streaming services.

Since you included ESPN in your quesion, I would strongly consider Hulu + Live TV. It is a little more expensive depending on the deal you find; however, you get ESPN + included in your subscription.

The additional apps blow up the total cost, IMO.

Hulu + Live TV would also include Disney+ which the poster says he gets (so potentially being able to save that monthly subscription fee)

Dump the land line service and get Magic Jack. Service is less than perfect, but the cost is miniscule. I think I'm paying $20 a year, just because my wife doesn't want to get rid of it.

Most broadcast (over the air) TV channels are 720p for the reason that they can do 60fps. Most 1080 broadcast (over the air) are 1080i, which are 30fps but interlaced to appear like its 60fps.

Slowly broadcasters are switching to 4K broadcasting (over the air) via ATSC 3.0. It will be interesting to see if the streaming services will stick to 720p 60fps, 1080i 30fps, or downscale the 4k broadcasts to be 1080p 60fps.
