Supposed First Round talent Ridder draft stock gotta be taking a hit with all the tipped balls. Lack of production. Very little zip on his good passes.

They are overmatched, but give credit to Cinci for playing tough and hanging in there (at least better than some teams have in the cfp era)

Disappointed in Ridders performance today, was expecting more from him.

True but Cincinnati hasn’t been able to stop the run on D and on O they have poor blocking and an average QB. Never a good combination, much less when playing Bama.

Now 27-6 Bama. Can’t believe I have to root for a Bama vs Georgia repeat game from a few weeks ago.
You're correct they are giving up yardage on the ground. I was more thinking they're playing respectable when in reality they should probably be getting blown out.

Difference in this game is the huge talent gap. With the talent Alabama has they should be ahead by at least 45 points.
I thought it was all about the coaches. Saban is an excellent coach, but it sure helps to have the most talent. Example: Bama’s QB last year is starting as a rookie. They replace him with a redshirt freshman who merely wins the Heisman. I could go on.

Unlike Franklin, Saban is modest enough to surround himself with accomplished coaches better than him at what they do...Marrone, O'Brien, Sunseri.

Franklin is too insecure, yet arrogant, to allow anyone on staff of similar or perhaps better caliber. He feels the need to be the most important person in the room or on the field.

2022 is going to be interesting.....lower your expectations.

I don’t know about Franklin and attitudes towards assistant coaches. The main difference I see with Saban coached teams is that they pay attention and clearly work on the small details. Nothing is ever ‘we won- it’s good enough’. It can always get better. It’s a constant pursuit of perfection in every aspect of the game.

They tackle well- and wrap up the runner. Their receivers block downfield (and not the pretend block dance we often see). Their kicking game is very good.

They clearly have a ton of talent but if you watch them they are also very disciplined in how they play. They clearly pay attention to the small stuff and that’s what makes them so lethal, even when they have an off night.
