People tend to forget LSU won a NC in 2007 with two conferences loses to UK and Arky. But they won the SECC.
Concerning Alabama, the article is saying why they are not one of the 8. My point for posting was the quote that clearly missed that Miss St (we played Bama, right?) is currently 6-4.

That year was odd. There were zero P5 undefeated teams & only two P5 teams had 1 loss (Ohio St and Kansas). If we had a playoff that year it would have been OSU and 3 teams with 2 losses.

This year is completely different. Without upsets other than LSU beating UGA, a 2 loss LSU would be trying to get a spot over 7 undefeated or 1 loss P5 schools.

The committee already set a precedent picking a 1 loss Ohio State over a 2 loss Big 10 champ Penn St that beat Ohio St.

I don’t think LSU gets in the playoff without some help even if they win out & win the SECC game.
