I reckon if we keep "design running" our slow-ish starting QB he'll see a ton of reps all season long.
I think it’s encouraging since I thought Veillieux looked pretty good when he had chances last year. Hoping Allar is as advertised and can lead the team next year.

PSU fan for 60 years and for many fans it's always the backup QB.
It was a blitz that killed him last year and once that was on tape we were doomed without a running game.
While I see your point, I think with SCs skill set, he has to be able to run SOME otherwise he's not going to be 100% possibly effective. It's those whiffed A gap blitzes and edge defenders not being touched that compound him running 4-6 times per game.
