When the bright lights are on, all eyes focused on the dogs - CHOKE
To be fair we were favored by 5.We played a top 6 team to the wire and it's a choke? 17 off!
Yes. We didn’t defend the 3 at all tonight.I don't think we choked so much as Kentucky played great. They’re good. Really good. They’ve got 3 top 10 wins. But I think the difference in the game is they shot the ball better than their ability.
Easy money. There was no way the cheating SEC refs would have let us win, let alone cover. To be fair we were favored by 5.
Get off your high horse you whiner. We played a top 10 team that lost coming into this game. They shot 50% from 3. You are a loser and I won't let you drag me down with you. When the bright lights are on, all eyes focused on the dogs - CHOKE
Why’d they shoot so well from 3? A large part is Hubbard can’t defend.Get off your high horse you whiner. We played a top 10 team that lost coming into this game. They shot 50% from 3. You are a loser and I won't let you drag me down with you.
The vast majority of times we don’t. Only once in my years of being a state fan have we exceeded expectations.Yes, preacher, I’m a state fan & alumnus & have been for decades. Grew up in starkville in 80s, student in 90s & have watched more nights like this in all MSU sports than I care to remember.
Great opportunity but didn’t get it done
Kentucky was on fire from outside. They just had it going, and not much you can do to stop that.I don't think we choked so much as Kentucky played great. They’re good. Really good. They’ve got 3 top 10 wins. But I think the difference in the game is they shot the ball better than their ability.
Ok, just asking because I haven't seen you around here. You only have 28 posts so far. It really was a sincere question.Yes, preacher, I’m a state fan & alumnus & have been for decades. Oh, you’re right, so sorryGet off your high horse you whiner. We played a top 10 team that lost coming into this game. They shot 50% from 3. You are a loser and I won't let you drag me down with you.
And let’s be honest. “They” was really Robinson. If that $hithead just goes 3-6 instead of 7-10, it’s a completely different ballgame.I don't think we choked so much as Kentucky played great. They’re good. Really good. They’ve got 3 top 10 wins. But I think the difference in the game is they shot the ball better than their ability.
And, much as I hate to say it, he killed us down the stretch taking bad shots. He’s struggling & making it worse by trying to do too much. Why’d they shoot so well from 3? A large part is Hubbard can’t defend.

Exactly. People act like 3-pointers are random dice rolls….and they just kept getting lucky. BS. I think maybe 2 of their 30-something attempts were even remotely contested. The rest were all either wide open, or taken with at least a 4 foot cushion.Yes. We didn’t defend the 3 at all tonight.
Total BS. What a loser. When the bright lights are on, all eyes focused on the dogs - CHOKE
Yes we did. I lot of the ones they made were well contested, and a few were just circus shots.Yes. We didn’t defend the 3 at all tonight.
You didn't watch the game, or if you did you weren't paying attention.Exactly. People act like 3-pointers are random dice rolls….and they just kept getting lucky. BS. When you don’t defend the perimeter at all against a Top 10 team, you’re gonna pay for it just about every time. It was the exact same thing last year. Pope probably just popped in last year’s tape and just said “yep, we’re gonna just do that same thing again”. We let them dictate the pace and the flow, and we tried to beat them at their own game.
Kentucky was much better at moving the ball, moving on offense and setting picks to get better looks. You can tell they work on it. I'm guessing they had a good talk after the Georgia game. Freaking GEORGIA, who doesn't even care about basketball.Yes we did. I lot of the ones they made were well contested, and a few were just circus shots.
Shooting 50% in a live game even if they were mostly uncontested is pretty damn good. Why’d they shoot so well from 3? A large part is Hubbard can’t defend.
What is the deal with so many of you turning into Genespage sheep lately? Whining about trolls and post count instead of just dealing with folks in SPS fashion.Ok, just asking because I haven't seen you around here. You only have 28 posts so far. It really was a sincere question.
There were open shots in the first half. Wide open. They were running screens to get guys open and it was working well. Second half was a different story. State was much more active getting around and fight through the screens and many of those threes made were contested. Of wide open threes I bet they shot 80 percent which is pretty wild.Exactly. People act like 3-pointers are random dice rolls….and they just kept getting lucky. BS. I think maybe 2 of their 30-something attempts were even remotely contested. The last shot of the half was so close I was afraid we fouled!Yes we did. I lot of the ones they made were well contested, and a few were just circus shots.
The camera angle must make it look that way because no one was around him when he shot. The last shot of the half was so close I was afraid we fouled!
It looked like we were all over him. I couldn't believe it went in.The camera angle must make it look that way because no one was around him when he shot.
