And some of you think we are over the top about black uniforms....

1) They wear Russell
2) They have a coach named Grooms.

Good luck to them.

...not because some idiot thinks it makes us lose (I'm pretty sure LSU & Bama had more to do with that), but because high school (and college players) love that stuff.

there are people on this board that just don't understand this, and honestly believe our uniform colors are the reason we lost to LSU and Alabama.

If that means black jerseys once a season, so be it. That said, it's not going to stop me from making fun of this generational, cultural, or whatever fascination with a stupid jersey color that is worn once a year. It's ridiculous to me that attire is so important to football players these days. I can't wait for this fad to go so overboard that the new "cool thing" is having 1 home and 1 away jersey.

"look good, play good" has been around since forever.. it's just that now Nike and other apparel companies are offering more choices so they can sell more jerseys

News Flash: Our colors already look good. Why is there this broad acceptance of the idea that black uniforms will attract recruits? Of course we don't lose because of the colors worn, but I bet that most of our players like the hell out of all of their uniforms and I bet that most recruits that are considering us think they look pretty damn good too.

If you want to screw up our team by putting them in black then whatever, but don't tell me that it has ever been a deciding factor in whether a recruit decided to sign with us.

Finally, I think the idea that black is the hip color is about 20 years old and not really valid anymore.

I just think its ridiculous that a grown *** man falls on the ground and loses his **** over a black jersey. Ok yea players like wearing them. Great. Jumping up and down like your team just made the big dance, running down the stairs like a kid on Christmas morning and then acting like you just won a showcase showdown is a 17inembarrassingreaction.<div>
</div><div>I am all for the black jerseys. I think they look slick also. I'm just ripping the guys at Ohio for acting like they just won a beautypageant. ******.</div>

"If you want to screw up our team..."<div>
</div><div>What exactly is there to screw up? We are perpetual bottom feeders in our own conference. If we want to compete with the teams in our own 17ing division it's going to take doing things differently than Bama, LSU, etc. I say we haven't gone far enough in distinguishing ourselves. Our uniforms are VERY similar (too similar) to Arkansas and Alabama.</div><div>
