And yet another huge game for the men tomorrow, even bigger than Wednesday

Wrap up the regular season at MSU tomorrow. The UT game was big, obviously, because it would have put us on the threshold of completing our conference Cinderella story. But, that didn't happen. There's certainly no shame, though, in coming up just short of finishing 1st, when you were picked to finish dead last. Tomorrow, we are playing to grab a coveted top 4 spot in the conference, though. This feels even bigger to me than Wednesday. Missing out on the top seed wasn't devastating. I feel like, after all we've accomplished this season, to miss out on a top 4 seed at this point would be pretty deflating. No matter what, of course, we've blown past expectations, but the players and coaches have worked so hard, I'd feel so bad for them to miss it on the last game of the season.

Our good buddy, ESPN analytics, only gives us a 25% chance of winning, but they haven't given us much of a chance in many conference games this season. MSU can be a tough place to play.

I think South Carolina needs to win and Kentucky needs to lose for South Carolina to earn a double bye. If South Carolina receives the double bye they will likely play Kentucky or Florida Friday at 2:30 central daylight time.

Seems there a number of different possible scenarios, but that's certainly the most straightforward one.

There's a scenario where we lose and still get the top 4 bye.

This is a fun predictor to check out. It'll run through all the different scenarios. The most disappointing scenario is this one:

South Carolina wins
Auburn wins
Alabama wins
Kentucky wins

If this happens, we finish 5th on tiebreakers.

Getting there is probably draining on the team. Starkville is truly the middle of nowhere.
Are they going to land the chartered flight somewhere other than Golden Triangle Airport? That's like flying to Tuscaloosa plus 20 minutes.

After pulling against UT most of the season, I'm sure this is the time they will have their collapse. :ROFLMAO:

25%? Wow! Well, it looks like they've lost three home games this season: Southern Jaguars, Bama, and KY. I assume it will be senior day for them so probably an emotional game for their seniors. They will be jacked up.
