Pre-Mullen I would be concerned but the last two years we have beaten the teams we're suppose to beat (with the expection of Houston in 09'). I would like to see us take control early and play some backups eary in the third quarter.</p>
We started last season very similarly. We blew out Memphis better than we did last year. We were closer to beating Auburn than we were last year. And we played LSU closer than last year. So, I'm not worried about this team at all. I suspect we'll lose to only those that we lost to last year.
the SEC as a 3 Tier league at this point.
Tier I= Bama, LSU and maybe Arkansas at the top.
Tier II Teams = South Carolina, UGA, Auburn, UF,MSU and maybe TN(In no particular order)
Tier III Teams =Vandy, UK and Ole Miss.
For example, would an Auburn win over South Carolina reallysurprise you?etc...
However, this is fuild and changes week to week based on injuries and coaching ( player development).
but to me its a big negative on Auburn because though we played them close this year and last year, Auburn is nowhere near as good this year as they were last year. We did catch them early last year and this year's game was on the road but it will remain a big black mark on our season not beating Auburn when, in my mind, we were clearly the better team this year. Auburn is likely no better than a 7-5 team this year and I only give them that because they squeaked by us. Clemson went for OVER 600 yards on the Auburn defense.
There have been plenty of laughs had at the expense of our rivals from the north. We may not lose, but I have a feeling the spirits are going to make us sweat this one out...
looking to take out some frustrations right now. We had 2 big opportunities the past 2 games and didn't get it done. I think we come out focused and ready to prove something this weekend against what should be an inferior opponent. If we struggle in this game then we all are going to have to truly sit back and reassess the quality of team we have this year.
