Anyone else have a better sports year than this?

In the last 12 months, here's what my teams have done.

Pro Baseball: SF Giants - Win world series for first time since 1954
Pro Basketball: Memphis Grizzlies - Win first playoff game and series in franchise history
Pro Football: SF 49ers - Ok, can't win 'em all
Pro Hockey: Chicago Blackhawks - Win first Stanley Cup since 1961. I'm admittedly not the biggest hockey fan anymore, but I loved them back in the Roenick, Chelios, Smith, and Belfour days.

College: MSU - Gator bowl beatdown of Michigan, a super regional, and well, 17 the basketball season.

Overall, a pretty good year for a ragtag list of teams.

MSU football wins a good bowl
UConn men cut down the nets (my cousin was a student manager there)
Aaron Rodgers pissed on Brett Favre and ***** *** Jay Cutler, plus denied the Steelers (win/win/win)
One of my two favorite players will get a ring.. LeBron or Dirk
Rangers went to the WS last year and in 1st place again this year
Canucks about to win the Cup (knock on wood)

Cardinals sweep the Cubs- inluding two Albert Pujols walk-off home runs.

MSU sweeps regional.

As far as breaking out of a slump goes, it's hard for me to think of a better way than hitting walk off homers in back to back games!

Albert is on fire! We are in first place with no Wainwright and a 1-5 record from Carp, I will take it.

What is up with these team interests? There seems to be little to no locational similarities with your teams. UCantStop: Starkville, Connecticut, Wisconsin, Texas, and Vancouver. I would call you a bandwagon jumper, but there haven't been many opportunities to bandwagon these teams. How did you gain an interest in these teams?

Without going into too much detail, it was a chain of events that went something like this...

MSU - Grandparents started a deep rooted family affiliation with the school and Starkville
SF Giants - First pro sports team I followed due to Will Clark, Jeff Brantley, and the above MSU connection
SF 49ers - Second pro sports team I followed due to above SF connection. There was no team in Tennessee at the time, so I figured I might as well like both teams in SF.
Memphis Grizzlies - Since there wasn't a pro basketball team in SF, I just went with the hot one here and started following Jordan and the Bulls back in the day. I normally would have kept rooting for the Bulls after Jordan retired, but I lost interest when they completely blew up the team. After watching them put on a show for 8 years, it was just too hard to watch. So just when I was about to drop the NBA altogether around 2001, the Grizzlies move to my hometown and I started watching again.
Chicago Blackhawks - Again, no team in SF or Tennessee at the time so I used my Bulls connection and decided I'd start following the team from Chicago.

It's a weird pattern, but when you think about pro sports in the Southeast back in the mid '80s, there wasn't much to choose from back then outside of Atlanta. Since then, they've added the Grizzlies, Titans, Predators, Panthers, Hornets(New Orleans version), Jaguars, and Marlins.

His favorite team is the one that just won (or is about to win) the championship.

Fortunately, I tattooed a cowbell on his right arm, so he's stuck when it comes to college teams.

That was a great weekend. I watched more baseball from Friday to Sunday than I have all season.
