could be a fun year at The Hump with fresh faces. Who knows what Sidney plans, but at this point does anyone really care anymore?

We have already
sold 5,671 season tickets through the close of business Monday, more
than 3,000 ahead of where we were at this time last year, and less than
1,300 short of the number of seasons tickets sold during all of
2010-11. We are scheduled to begin seating the top 2,000 men’s
basketball season ticket holders on Monday, Oct. 10.

Also, after having the student section split on either end of the court
for the past two seasons, the students’ areas at the Hump will be
recombined this year at the north end of the Coliseum.

We have also sold out our allotment of 2012 SEC Basketball Tournament tickets.
Nothing but extremely positive news here. If we're 3,000 season tickets ahead of last year at this point, then I think you can probably expect a sellout season or very close to it. Also, if you haven't taken the opportunity to check out the new practice facility, it's unbelievable. If there is any college campus that has a nicer one, I'd love to see it.

Edited to add: In response to your question about Sidney, if he comes anywhere near to repeating last year's pathetic effort, I'd be fine with cutting him loose and being done with it. However, that doesn't change the fact that a talent like himself can easily be the difference between a pretty good team and a serious contender. In other words, I think that any MSU basketball fan should care.
