My wife and I saw it yesterday (IMAX). Highly recommended. I was skeptical since I thought The Crystal Skull sucked and Harrison Ford had aged out of the role of Indiana Jones. So glad I was wrong. Great film.

This was my first time seeing a movie at a theater since before the pandemic. I greatly missed the experience. Next, my wife and I plan to see Oppenheimer and the new Mission: Impossible movie later this month.

Hoping to catch Oppenheimer too. Nolan movies are much better in theaterā€¦.

Appreciate that. Enjoyed the first three very much and Raiders is one of my all time favorites.
But Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was putrid to the point I wrote off the franchise.

May have to give Dr. Jones one last shot....

How was the sound at the IMAX? Our one local theater has an ear splitting speaker system. My son and I went to see John Wick 4 and it almost blew out my hearing. I imagine Oppenheimer with nuclear explosions may be worse! This has made me swear off IMAX theaters

So glad to hear to hear this. Crystal Skull should not have been the last memory of Indiana Jones. Ford still looks good for his age.

Now I am pumped to see it.

Itā€™s entertaining and what youā€™d expect. To me, itā€™s a bit like the Jurassic Park franchise in that they reconstitute the Nazi theme again. Itā€™s formulaic but it delivers on what you anticipate. Like others have said Indy IV was a train wreck. This make you feel a bit better about this legendary film franchise.

For me, it ranks 3rd behind I and III with II and IV pulling up the rear.

Definitely better than the last one, but mixed feelings on the whole. While trying not to give anything away, enjoyed it for its fun summer movie happenings through the end of one specific scene. Then, didnā€™t have nearly the same positive thoughts for the direction/focus it took.

That's the order I'd put them in too, but, well, there was something about Temple of Doom that as a college freshman made me watch a few times

Saw a 30 minute special over the weekend on the making of the forthcoming Mission: Impossible movie.

The non-stop action is remarkable!
